We were very lucky that Hamburg, for once, showed itself from its most beautiful sunny side, and was even dressed up for Christmas! The trip was a great experience for us as Hamburgers - to rediscover our own city in a relaxed way with "tourist eyes", accompanied by interesting historical and current information "from the tape" and enriched with very humorous additions from the dedicated bus driver Christian. We had a lot of fun and can warmly recommend this little break from everyday life.

The employee at the ticket office at the St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken was very unfriendly, not helpful and spoke very poor English. I had a ticket on my mobile for the bus and the canal cruise. Very unclear whether that meant I could get on the bus directly and/or take the boat. Unclear which boat we had to have for the canal cruise. Strange that there is no app / mobile website with the route. There is only a PDF to download. Very unclear where exactly the stops are. Why is there no audio guide in Dutch and in Swiss? We were unlucky that due to strikes half the day was not driven. This was announced but made for a hasty tour of the city (did not get off).

We first did a full tour and then the cruise, but unfortunately we have no time to enjoy "Hop on" "Hop off", because 2 stops near our hotel were not in service, but we did not receive this information, so we looked for the stop, lost about 2 hours asking locals where the stops are. And the stop posts are a bit hard to find. As a result, we advise you to start your tour at number 1. Despite this, we had a good experience. The explanations were very interesting, but it's a pity we don't understand German, because the driver's explanations in German were very complete and interesting. Well worth the trip.

I bought tickets for my family, my brother, my mother and me. My mother and I were visiting the country. The only one who speaks German is my brother and upon entering the bus, as the ticket says, I presented my passport and the QR code, the bus guide told me what was that I was presenting him, that he didn't even know the QR code nor did I need a passport. Until my brother spoke to him in German he decided to scan the QR code and was more polite. Until we got off at stop 17 and got back on, we met another driver who was very friendly and attentive. The boat cruise was fine, but we didn't have the app for English translation so our experience was limited. But the guide did a good job of helping us. It seems on the cruise many had a pleasant experience.

I went on this tour with my 3 children (13-17) and my mother (83) and can only recommend it. Our tour guide (Klaus) made the tour fun and informative at the same time. He answered all the questions and spoke very loudly and clearly. Everyone was thrilled at the end.

We enjoyed the tour itself and seeing the large houses near the lakes was a completely new experience! We found the instructions for joining the bus contradictory. One part said to make your way to the beginning of the tour, but another said you could join anywhere. The maps were not clear enough and we had no idea which bus to look for!

The river cruise was great, a complete tour of the best areas of Hamburg. No one was at the listed meeting point by Überseebrucke. Luckily, we found the ship on our own in time, but the information given was incorrect. Also, the staff made no effort to provide the audio guide for non-German speakers. They immediately began the tour in German and I was not given instructions for how to access English audio until I asked - about halfway through the tour. Aside from these logistic issues, the tour itself was nice.

The tour was very interesting and lived up to our expectations. It's a pity there's no possibility of translation into French (because even for fluent German speakers like us, not everything was understandable), at least for the more traditional commentaries (via headphones, for example), which wouldn't prevent the driver from adding his personal touch! We were sent to the wrong bridge and "ridiculed" when we asked, out of breath, where the boat was leaving from a minute before the departure time. Other guests felt the same way. Supposedly the other boat was full and had already left. Very unfriendly and departure 23 minutes later, waiting in the blazing sun. In the Speicherdtadt it went from 2h only 10min, better on foot and not again with Rainer Abicht :/

Very good guide. Boat has simple hard wooden benches with no privecie. You can't buy coffee, tea, nothing there either. Toilet offers no invitation. Maybe cheap but no comfort at all, too bad.

First the captain was a half hour late which interferred with our plans, we still were able to enjoy the ride. The online audio in english is not available until next year, so we were guided in German and no one understand nothing. Oh well, the sights were pretty. Lastly we thought we were going in the cannals as it is a small boat, however no where upon booking was there mention of tides. So because of low tide we stayed in the main harbor which was far less interesting to us. Otherwise for the price, the boat is comfortable and could be highly recommended if not for these few things mentioned above.

The lights tour with a trip through the Speicherstadt took place WITHOUT the Speicherstadt. The reason given was the flood. Certainly correct, but then the question arises as to why this is offered if it cannot take place. The organizer can check in advance whether it is high tide or not.
